Instructions to Applicants
The University of Virginia Post-Doctoral Training Program in Diabetes and Hormone Action provides NIH-supported stipends for four post-doctoral trainees each year working on a broad range of projects extending from basic to clinical investigations and further to health delivery and outcomes research.
In order to qualify, candidates must be U. S. citizens or have a green card. Prospective applicants or appropriate faculty sponsors should submit applications to

Applicants should forward a proposal of not less than 3 or more than 5 pages in length which includes:
- Aims of the Research and Hypotheses to be Tested
- Background
- Methods and Experimental Approach
- How the Post-doctoral Experience will Advance Future
- Goals of the Candidate
A CV and two letters of recommendation are also required. A letter from the sponsor should indicate the resources available for the candidate to conduct the research
