Marya Dunlap-Brown, MS - Technical Director Preclinical

Marya has extensive preclinical studies experience, and is responsible
for managing the Preclinical Studies division of the PTAI: pricing,
purchasing, staffing, scheduling, and billing of research projects. She
is also involved in the design and preparation of protocols; surgical
implantation of cancer cells and biopsies in a large variety of
locations; developing the correct xenograft model for specific studies;
performing necropsy and harvesting tumors, organs, and tissues for
molecular analysis.
Deborah L. Thompson - Research Technician

Deb has over 25 years experience in animal care, nearly seven years of
which has been at UVA. As Research Technician for the PTAI Shared
Resource she has become the primary provider of drug therapy, data
gathering, and data entry. Additionally, Ms. Thompson provides
excellent surgical support.
