Laboratory Facilities
The Administration and the Ligand Assay & Analysis Core of the Center for Research in Reproduction occupy the sixth floor of the Suhling Wing of the Old Medical School. Faculty Center members are housed in laboratories throughout the Health System at the University of Virginia and see patients in the areas of Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Pediatrics.
The Center for Research in Reproduction Ligand Assay and Analysis Core provides high quality, cost-effective assay services for CRR projects and other Reproductive Sciences Branch-supported projects, both internal and external. The Core's Mission is to
- support an assay menu (for human, rat and mouse samples) required
by the majority of reproductive investigators that access the
Facility
- develop and validate new assays and modify current assays, as
needed
- provide assistance and consultation regarding assay methodology, data reduction/analysis, data interpretation and biomathematical modeling to investigators that access our Core Facility.
