Dr. Keith-Hynes received his Doctoral Degree in Physics in 2008 from the University of Virginia. He earned the Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from MIT in 1981 and a Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering from Columbia University in 1982. In 1984 he co-founded Brooktrout Technology, Inc (NASDAQ BRKT) where he served as Vice President of Engineering and as a member of the Board of Directors. He is also the founder of glimmerWave software, a developer of iOS applications. Dr. Keith-Hynes joined the Center for Diabetes Technology in 2010 and is working on a mobile version of the artificial pancreas. He lives in Charlottesville with his family and enjoys West Coast Swing Dance, fly fishing and Lattice Gauge Theory.
