Form for ES cell line derivation
GTTF is capable of deriving ES cell lines from multiple wildtype and mutant strains. To initiate this service, the investigators are required to provide 5 breeding males and 10 prepuberty females. The male mice will be transferred back to investigators upon completion of the projects. The derivation service includes karyotyping, sexing and alkaline phosphatase activity assessment. Investigators will need to make separate requests for blastocyst injections in order to test the pluripotency of the established ES cell lines.
If you transfer breeding mice to our animal room for embryo isolation, we'll send you a CCM animal protocol and/or delivery request form. The males and females should be transferred to GTTF's animal room. The males will be used as studs for breeding to females to generate embryos of the desired stages. Please transfer mice only to our protocol #, but keep them on your per diem fund code (CCM #). Please also indicate if the males should be euthanized or returned to you after we complete the project.
Please click "Submit" button to send the request electronically to GTTF. Please also have PI sign a hard copy and bring it to Jordan 2223 (ext. 2-3990) to confirm the timeline of the service.
