Handling Recommendations
Recommendations for handling purified
antibodies
This preparation should be dialyzed
against Phosphate Buffered Saline (PBS) or similar isotonic solution
commonly used for storing antibodies. The preparation is
currently in a combination of Acetic Acid and Tris at a pH of
approximately 7.0.
The activity of the prep should be
assayed prior to storage
Solutions of purified antibodies should
be stored at relatively high concentrations (> 1mg/ml) at a
neutral pH. Concentrations up to 10mg/ml are commonly used.
Antibodies at lower concentrations should be concentrated prior to
freezing.
Dispense the antibody in convenient
volumes and store at -20°C.
