Frequently Asked Questions

Why choose UVa?

           1. First year students arrive early and do their first rotation 6-8 weeks before the semester starts. Students like this because they have time to adjust to the program, they beat the undergraduate rush in mid August, and their first semester is free to focus on classwork.
           2.  We are a small close-knit program but you still have the flexibility to choose from over 70 labs associated with the BIMS program.

            3. UVa does not require you to be a teaching assistant!
