MSTP Featured Mentor: Vic Engelhard, PhD
Dr Engelhard’s research “centers on understanding immune responses to tumors, and defining ways to enhance it for therapeutic purposes… these immune responses are usually dependent on CD8 T lymphocytes, which recognize specific antigens displayed on the surface of the tumor cells.” Congratulations and we wish you continued success! Research In Progress
A UVA MSTP tradition of our own. We gather, socialize, have dinner together and listen to presentations by faculty, students and invited guests. Attendance is mandatory if a student would like access to travel funds and to stay in good standing with the program. Guidelines for the different presentations can be found in the Student Handbook. Find the current schedule here. |
