The Biochemistry, Molecular Biology and Genetics (BMBG) group
is an interdisciplinary graduate training program in the most exciting
aspects of modern biochemical and biomedical science. BMBG
includes more than 50 biochemists, geneticists, molecular biologists,
biophysicists and others with a broad array of research interests in
identifying and characterizing the structure and activities of
important biochemical constituents of cells. The research
interests of our program faculty are diverse but fall under four
basic research themes:
The program thus provides a wide array of research opportunities,
which when coupled with graduate courses in various aspects of
biomedical science yields graduates with the skills and background
necessary for competitive existence in original scientific research and
graduate or medical education.
