Gregory Hayden, M.D.
I completed medical school and my pediatric residency at the University of North Carolina. I then spent 2 years at the Centers for Disease Control as an Epidemic Intelligence Service Officer working in the area of children's immunizations.
I was then a Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholar at Yale before joining the faculty here in 1979. I am currently Professor of Pediatrics and Head of the Division of General Pediatrics.
I have been a faculty member for the GSP for the past 11 years and am a mentor for the Clinical Performance Development-1 class.
My research interests are broad but include children's immunizations, common outpatient infections (such as pharyngitis and otitis media), and pediatric dermatology.
