Financial Aid and Billing - Using SIS and QuikPay
Once you have requested your loans, you can review your financial aid at any time by logging in and clicking on "View Financial Aid":
Once your tuition has been billed, you will receive an email from email@example.com with the subject line "Your UVA Student Accounts Billing Statement is now available!" You can then log in to SIS and click on QuikPay@UVA to view your tuition bill:
Make sure your pop-up blocker is turned off. When you click on QuikPay, click on "Current Statement" to view your bill. If the "Amount Due" is listed as "CR" or a negative amount, then that amount is the Credit that will be refunded to you. This occurs when you have more financial aid than the amount of tuition; the leftover amount is refunded to you for books, supplies, and living expenses. You should sign up for direct deposit to receive your refund.
To set up someone else to pay your tuition on your behalf, click on "Authorize Payers." You or your authorized payer may pay tuition using an eCheck (provide your bank account information). There is no charge to pay by eCheck. In addition, MasterCard, American Express and Discover credit cards are accepted. (VISA is not accepted!) Our service provider charges a 2.75% service charge for all credit card payments. The service fee is not refundable.
To make a payment online:
You may also pay via check by printing out the remittance slip and mailing it in with a check:
Your QuikPay bill will NOT update - if, for example, you request your loans after bills have been posted, or once you have made a payment. To view up-to-the-minute account information, click on "Current Account Activity" in QuikPay, or in SIS click on "Account Inquiry":
Although you will not receive an updated bill, you do not have to pay any tuition that will be covered by financial aid. If you request loans or aid after the tuition bill is created, you can determine the new amount you owe by viewing your Account Activity or your Account Inquiry - you need only pay the difference between your Outstanding Charges and your Pending Financial Aid. In addition, your award letter from the financial aid office will provide an estimate of your bill, taking financial aid into account.
If anything on your bill is incorrect, please contact your counselor.
