  5.  A Team Based Learning Webinar recording by Larry Michaelsen was suggested as a good resource; however, it has not yet been posted on the Educause web site.

[John Jackson notes that Michaelsen referenced a web site in his talk that has recordings of his earlier versions on the same talk and it appears to be the same slide set. That web site is http://www.teambasedlearning.org It has many other resources beyond just these recordings for people getting started with team based learning.]

  6. Integrated Assessment In that students will be learning in an integrated environment they should also be tested in an integrated environment and the Next Generation exam questions should be internally integrated. Complete integration in each question will be difficult and time consuming. A goal of 10-20% integrated questions in the first year should be achievable.  As a first step we will review some of the current exams for integrated content and set a goal based on that measurement.  The goal could be increased in subsequent years.

  7. Next meeting, April 14th election of a Leader (Chair) for the Systems Leadership Community; discussion of textbooks, handouts, and other learning tools; support structure; assessment and grading. What items would you like to have addressed at future meetings? Send me an email at dji@virginia.edu
