"NxGen" Faculty Development: Teach the Teachers

Overview
The "Next Generation" Curriculum Faculty Development Program -- NxGen Teach the Teachers (T3) -- is designed to provide ongoing professional development and educational training support, promote skill development, and encourage educational innovations among faculty who are moving the School of Medicine into the next phase of teaching and learning in undergraduate medical education.

Significant Learning Experiences
The NxGen T3 program recognizes that the integration of pedagogies, teaching technologies, and learning space design can enhance learning. We are committed to preparing faculty to take on the academic challenges of instruction, along with the challenges of information delivery in new learning spaces to new generations of students, many of whom have already experienced a revolution in learning during their undergraduate years.

NxGen T3 Learning Model
NxGen Teach the Teachers uses a learning model focused on conceptual learning and behavioral practice to increase faculty members' pedagogical knowledge, provide instructional training, and promote the implementation of active learning across all curricular phases. The program is built on the belief that developing educational competencies is an ongoing process linked to both conceptual learning and behavioral practice.
