- Family Medicine Clerkship Review. (Karen Maughan, M.D., Anne
Mounsey, M.D.). Drs. Maughan and Mounsey presented an excellent report
assessing the Family Medicine Clerkship. The report outlined the
clerkships goals, objectives, grading policies, and patient contact
information. Analysis of new initiatives tried in the course during the
previous year and outcome data was presented. Assessment data from
student evaluations was provided.
Ambulatory Internal Medicine Clerkship (AIM) Review. (Eugene
Corbett, M.D., Michael Rein, M.D.) Drs. Corbett and Rein presented an
excellent report describing and assessing the Ambulatory Internal
Medicine Clerkship. They provided a useful overview of the course and
assessment data from student and faculty evaluations.
An instructive question and answer period followed. The development and
future plans of both courses were discussed. Following completion of
the reviews and further discussion the committee will communicate
responses to the clerkship directors.
