1. Funding priorities for medical education. The Committee discussed funding priorities for undergraduate medical education. Many essential programs now in existence appear to be funded at a bare bones level making further budget cuts difficult. In other cases where there is no central accounting the actual cost of programs and therefore the savings are unknown.

2. Sexual Health Curriculum. As part of an educational funded study, the students will be given a 50 question knowledge based test on sexual health issues. It was agreed that to comply with UVA test subject protocols the test should be optional. A 96% completion rate was achieved on the first survey.
   
   
3. The agenda for next weeks meeting (9/12/02) will include a review of the Cell and Tissue yearly course update and, time permitting, the review of the OB/GYN and/or Pharmacology reports.
