- Neuroscience Self-Assessment. (Kevin Lee, Elaine Lowe) Dr.
Lee presented a fine report assessing the Neuroscience course. He
provided assessment data from student and faculty evaluations. The
information was critiqued and summary statements made. A hard copy of
his report will follow in a few days. Recommendations and proposals for
the Fall 2001 course were reviewed. Following further discussion the
committee will communicate a response to the course director to
continue a dialogue begun the fall of 2000.
- Clerkships. The Curriculum Committee was asked to provide
ideas on how to properly evaluate the clerkships - what questions to
ask of the clerkships - what information you would like to have to
evaluate clerkships.
- Passports are being evaluated by third year students.
Initial and partial review (N=41) of indicates a desire for a senior
resident to be able to sign-off on the passports as attendings are
difficult to find outside of a conference room. While the primary
purpose of the Passport is to document skill competency within the
clerkship, a secondary purpose was to encourage attending-student
interaction.
- The Practice of Medicine-1 review will take place next week,
June 21.
