In just one week, student teams will have to disentangle complex problems, reflect and synthesize findings, acknowledge limitations, and occasionally negotiate opposing viewpoints to create an evidence-based, innovative set of recommendations that they then present to judges on competition day this Saturday. At the competition’s conclusion, a winning team is chosen, but more importantly, new ideas and applications are generated for very real public health problems, and students remain inspired and impassioned global citizens.
