Ann Mills has a B.A. from Sarah Lawrence College, a Masters of Economics from London School of Economics, and an M.B.A. from James Madison University.  She is an Assistant Professor in Medical Education and member of the core faculty at the Center for Biomedical Ethics and Humanities. Ms. Mills is Director of Outreach Programs and Co-Director of the Program in Ethics and Policy in Healthcare Systems. She serves on UVa's Conflicts of Interest Committee.

Mills has over 40 publications in the areas of healthcare ethics, organization ethics and patent law, some of which have appeared in Nature Biotechnology and the Journal of Critical Care Medicine. She is also co-author of three books published on organization ethics and the ACGME competencies for resident education.

Mills serves on various editorial boards including HEC Forum and Organizational Ethics: Healthcare, Business and Policy.
