How to Make an Appointment

There are very few physicians on the East Coast who perform this highly specialized procedure. Accordingly, we welcome not only residents of Virginia, but also patients from North Carolina, South Carolina, and points South, as well as individuals from the Washington DC and Baltimore areas, and points further North.

Finding the Urology Clinic

The Department of Urology at UVA is located in the West Complex of the UVA Medical Center, which is near the heart of downtown Charlottesville. The West Complex is a large, square-shaped, red brick building.

  • If you you have an appointment and you are walking to the clinic or arriving by cab, enter the West Complex through the main, front entrance located near the intersection of Lee Street and Jefferson Park Avenue ("jpa" on the map). Once you pass through the main doors, the Information Desk will be directly in front of you. Ask the concierge for directions to the Department of Urology.

  • If you have an appointment and you are driving a car, you may park in the designated patient area on Hospital Drive, which runs behind the West Complex, and which is a one-way street running from Jefferson Park Avenue (jpa) to Main Street. Once you have parked on Hospital Drive, enter the West Complex at the Private Clinics Entrance, and take the elevator to the 2nd Floor. The reception area for Urology is directly across from the elevators.

  • If you do not have an appointment and you are driving a car, you may park in the garage area on Lee Street, which is near the "A" on the map. Then, go to the front entrance of the West Complex and proceed as suggested in the first bulleted point above.
