Bulge (Aneurysm) in the Thoracic Aorta

UVa Health System, Department of Interventional Radiology seeks Women and Men, ages 18 and older with a bulge (aneurysm) in the thoracic aorta for research study.
The purpose of the study is to collect long-term results for a device, called a stent graft, that has been approved for use by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The device is used to treat a bulge, or aneurysm, of the thoracic (chest) aorta without open surgery. The device being studied is the Zenith® TX2® TAA Endovascular Graft. Study involves up to 9 study visits over a 5 year period. The first and second visits may be combined into one visit and will involve your stay in the hospital for the stent graft procedure. After this, you will need to return to UVA 1 month, 6 months, and then once every year for a total of 5 years for follow up. Each of the follow up visits will last about 2 hours.
Compensation for study completion is $ 30 for each follow up visit completed at UVA for the study.
