Abdominal Aortic Aneurysms (AAA) Clinical Trial
UVa Health System, Department of Interventional Radiology seeks Women and Men, ages 18 and older with Abdominal Aortic Aneurysms (AAA) for research study.
The purpose of the study is to compare two different ways of using the Endologix Powerlink® Stent Graft with IntuiTrak™ Endovascular Delivery System for repair of Abdominal Aortic Aneurysms (AAA). An aneurysm is a weakening and ballooning out of a major blood vessel. This weakening may lead to rupture of the blood vessel if not treated.
Study involves 5 study visits over a 6 month period of time, including a screening visit, procedure visit, discharge from hospital, and two follow up visits 1 month and 6 months after the procedure. Each outpatient visit will last about two hours, which includes 20 minutes for the research part of the study. The study will also involve completion of a questionnaire about your physical health and daily activities that will take about 10 minutes to complete and blood pressures in your arms and legs. This study will not add any additional time on the day of the procedure.
