Research Project: Matt is working in the laboratory of Victor Laubach. His current focus is on the role of pulmonary dendritic cells and IL-23 in T cell activation during lung ischemia-reperfusion injury. He is also the lead researcher on our project involving rehabilitation of donor lungs via EVLP (ex vivo lung perfusion). Matt is also a PhD candidate in the Department of Molecular Physiology and Biological Physics.

Research Project: Ashish is working in Victor Laubach's lab studying the role of T cells, IL-17, RAGE and NADPH oxidase in pulmonary IR injury utilizing in vitro primary cell culture and an in vivo mouse lung model of lung IR. Ashish is also doing some research on the ability of stem cell treatment to prevent lung IR injury.
