Tarek Abbas, Ph.D.

Assistant Professor of Radiation Oncology

Dr. Abbas is an assistant professor of the Departments of Radiation Oncology and Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics.  Research in Dr. Abbas's laboratory investigates the role of the ubiquitin system in the development and progression of human cancer with a particular focus on the role of the ubiquitin system in modulating cellular responses to ionizing radiation and the development of resistance to radio- and chemotherapy.

Kumari Andarawewa, DVM, MSS, PHD

Assistant Professor of Radiation Oncology

Dr. Andarawewa is Assistant Professor at Department of Radiation Oncology. Dr Andarawewa is Veterinarain by training and has PhD in molecular biology. She is specialized in radio/chemosensitization, animal models of cancer, extracellular matrix and DNA damage responses, combination therapy approaches and epithelial to mesenchymal transition.

Jaroslaw Dziegielewski, Ph.D.

Assistant Professor of Radiation Oncology

Dr. Dziegielewski is an Assistant Profess or of Radiation Oncology.  He has been working on advancing our understanding of the biological effects of ionizing radiation in hope of developing better sensitizing agents for tumor radiotherapy and protective agents against environmental or occupational radiation exposures.
