The Keats Society is UVA’s Department of Radiology and Medical Imaging’s alumni society. Through the Society, we honor the life and legacy of Dr. Theodore Keats, who was a pioneer in the field of Radiology and the Chair of the UVA Radiology Department from 1963 to 1991. More information about Dr. Keats>>

The goals for the society are to provide a means for the social and scientific reunion of the current and former Residents, Fellows, and Faculty members of the Department of Radiology and Medical Imaging. Additionally, and most importantly, the Society offers financial support to our current trainees through our Educational Endowment Fund by providing financial assistance that would otherwise not be available to expand and enhance their UVA educational experience.

February 2013

Dear Alumni,

Many exciting things have happened with the Keats Society this year. We have introduced our new logo and worked to make our Facebook and LinkedIn pages more robust. You will find up-to-date information on Facebook and be able to network with other University of Virginia Department of Radiology and Medical Imaging graduates on the LinkedIn page. We anticipate these sites to be wonderful resources for our Keats Society members. Please take a look, Like us (on Facebook) and network with us soon.

Our Endowment has grown this year, thanks to our Alumni. Your contributions have allowed us to fund several items for our trainees to utilize during their time at UVA. The Keats Society financially supported the educational software Rad Primer and Imaios e-Anatomy, purchased two high-end Dell computers for the Resident workroom and funded an audience response system for the Moss amphitheater. Our trainees truly appreciate the contributions that the Keats Society gives to their educational experience.

In May 2013 we are looking forward to our bi-annual Homecoming Reunion Weekend. The weekend will be a wonderful time to come back to Charlottesville and the Department. We are trying out a new schedule this year with more emphasis on the social experience, networking, and fun. Sign up today.

I want to thank you for being a part of the Keats Society.

Warm Regards,

Brandi Nicholson, M.D.
Keats Society President
