Two options are available for obtaining a reduced cost mammogram:

  1. UVA offers reduced out of pocket expenses for mammograms to those who qualify under financial screening.  Please call the Financial Aid office 982-4330.
  2. Every Women's Life Health Passport:  This is a breast and cervical cancer screening program.  This program is funded through the Centers for Disease control (CDC) and offers a free mammogram, pap test, and breast/gynelogic exam to those who qualify.   Here's how to register for  this screening:

Call (434) 243-6415 or 1-800-223-9173.  You can find out about the Health Passport and sign up.

Choose where to have your Health Passport exams.  There are over 15 doctors' offices where you can use your Health Passport.  We will make your appointment.

Go for your exams.  You will get a breast exam and Pap test. The office will set up your mammogram.

Please say that you are in the Every Women's Life Health Passport program when you check-in.
