Physician Services and Clinics
Acupuncture services are provided as an alternative method of treating chronic pain for such conditions as low back pain, neck pain, arthritis, sports injuries, headaches, nerve pain and other painful conditions. Most patients do not consider acupuncture treatments to be painful.
Disability Evaluation provide Worker's Compensation Disability Evaluations, Independent Medical Exams, Impairment Ratings, Functional Capacity Exams, medical-legal consultations and record reviews, among other services.
Electrodiagnostic Lab services include diagnostic testing for such conditions as carpal tunnel syndrome, radiculopathies, nerve impingements and neuromuscular diseases. Services offered are electromyography, nerve conduction studies and evoked potential studies.
Neurocognitive Assessment services include diagnosis and treatment for persons with neurologic and associated disorders.
Neurorecovery Program services are for those with such conditions as acquired brain injury, stroke, multiple sclerosis, and other acute and chronic neurologic disorders.
Prosthetics & Orthotics Clinic services provide prescription of prostheses, braces and splints in a multidisciplinary setting.
Rehabilitation Engineering are provided to individuals of all ages with all disabilities having a full spectrum of assistive device needs.
Spine and Sports Care offers the non-surgical evaluation, treatment and rehabilitation of individuals with spine pain, sports injuries, and other musculoskeletal disorders.
The Runner's Clinic specializes in the care and treatment of runners.
UVA-HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital is a new 50-bed state-of-the-art acute rehabilitation facility. It offers an extensive range of inpatient, outpatient and day treatment services to patients with a variety of disabling conditions.
