Carolyn Engelhard, MPA, delivered the keynote address at a national Summit on Preventing Tobacco Use and Obesity in Puerto Rico on March 11th. Her address, "Reducing Obesity: Policy Strategies from the Tobacco Wars," took its title from a study conducted by Engelhard and colleague Arthur T. Garson, Jr., MD, MPH and the Urban Institute.

Invited to speak by the Puerto Rico Department of Health, Professor Engelhard spoke to a large audience of public health workers and academics. The summit was co-sponsored by the University of Puerto Rico School of Public Health.
