Division of Translational Research & Applied Statistics

Division MembersContact Us

The Division of Translational Research and Applied Statistics provides the analytical infrastructure for basic, clinical, and translational research at the University of Virginia, specifically in cancer, and in close collaboration with faculty and staff in the NCI-designated University of Virginia Cancer Center.

The Division is the academic home of the Biostatistics Shared Resource of the Cancer Center Support Grant with specific expertise in methodology related to pre-clinical studies and early stage clinical trials.

The Division will use its expertise to help develop, foster and lead discovery and innovation for translational science across the University of Virginia.

As with all divisions in DPHS, the new Division contributes to programs to educate basic, clinical and translational investigators in research design and the application of statistical methods.
