The Virginia Health Education Alliance is a web-based repository housing information of interest to all educators, especially those responsible for providing health and family life education.

Since students' physical and mental health conditions can have such a powerful effect on academic performance, this site contains resources that can be used inside and outside the classroom and the school walls.

The Alliance endorses and provides support to school districts with comprehensive school health programs. At a time when health challenges are growing and school budgets are diminishing, comprehensive school health programs, creating and supporting school-community partnerships, makes much sense.
