I am a certified pediatric nurse practitioner and have practiced in nephrology since 1999. My clinical responsibilities primarily involve care of children with chronic kidney disease including those who require renal replacement therapy (dialysis and/or transplantation). I have recently become interested in issues surrounding the transition of medical care from pediatric to adult providers in young adults with a history of chronic illness, specifically kidney disease. I am currently pursing my Ph.D. in nursing to study these issues.
