Interventional techniques include blade and balloon atrial septostomy, balloon angioplasty, coiling of PDAs, stenting of pulmonary arteries and coarctations, balloon valvuloplasty, and device closure of septal defects. Over 300 pediatric procedures are performed annually in addition to the 50-100 pediatric EP studies that are performed each year.

EP Program

The pediatric electrophysiology program performs all aspects of pediatric arrhythmia management including invasive and noninvasive EP studies and ablations utilizing state of the art equipment, pacemaker and defibrillator implantation and follow-up, laser lead extraction, cardiac resynchronization therapy, tilt tests, and ambulatory monitoring.

Cardiovascular Surgery

Approximately 200-250 cardiovascular procedures are performed each year. All types of surgical therapies are offered, with close collaboration between surgical and cardiac teams.
