Fellowship in Hematopathology
The Department of Pathology at the University of Virginia Health System offers one fellowship position in Hematopathology. The fellowship includes one year of training in diagnostic Hematopathology, which is ACGME accredited, and an optional second year of research. The first year is designed to offer the trainee an extensive exposure to all aspects of diagnostic Hematopathology, including lymph node and bone marrow pathology, immunohistochemistry, flow cytometry, molecular genetics, cytogenetics, general hematology and coagulation. The second year is primarily devoted to a research project in the field of hemopoietic or lymphoid disorders under the supervision of a senior faculty member.
Applicants must have an MD degree (or foreign equivalent with ECFMG certification) and be board eligible or certified in anatomic and clinical pathology.

Stipend: Commensurate with the applicant's
postgraduate training in pathology.
