The University of Virginia Department of Orthopaedic Surgery is located in Charlottesville, VA. Our Adult clinics are located at Fontaine Research Park in Charlottesville just off of the Route 250 Bypass. Our Pediatric clinics are currently located at Kluge Children's Rehabilitation Center off of Ivy Road, but we will be moving to the state-of-the-art Battle Building at the University Hospital Complex when it opens in the fall of 2014. We also see patients at the new University of Virginia facility at Zion Crossroads 20 minutes east of Charlottesville.
Surgeons and physician assistants at our Adult clinics generally see patients over the age of 18 for all musculoskeletal complaints. We will sometimes see patients under the age of 18 at one of our Adult clinics if their condition or injury falls within a subspecialty area of Orthopaedic Surgery. Subspeciality Adult clinics include Adult Reconstruction (Total Joint Replacement), Hand and Upper Extremity, Foot and Ankle, Oncology, Spine Surgery, Orthopaedic Sports Medicine, and Trauma.
Our providers at our Pediatric clinics see all pediatric patients from newborns to teenagers and treat broken bones, dislocations, and sprains as well as developmental and congenital conditions of the spine, pelvis, and extremities.
