Director, MS Clinic Dr. Goldman joined the clinic in 2006 after completing her fellowship in Neuro-immunology at the Cleveland Clinic. Prior to this she received her Doctor of Medicine at Rush University and completed her Neurology residency at the UVa. Her research interests are in developing new methods of measuring disease progression in multiple sclerosis. |

Assistant Professor of Neurology Dr. Jones joined the clinic in 2012 after moving from a hospital based MS Center in Pennsylvania. He completed his fellowship in neuroimmunology / MS at University of Massachusetts, where he also completed a residency in neurology. He received her medical degree from Wake Forest University. |

Denise R. Bruen, M.S.N., R.N. Adult Nurse Practitioner Denise Bruen has been a nurse practitioner at UVA since 2004. She joined the JQM Clinic in 2010 having previously worked with UVA Neurosurgery as well as being a unit nurse on the Neurology/Neurosurgery floor. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at UVA and her Masters in Nursing at Rush Medical Center in Chicago, Il. |

Margaret F. Keller, R.N., M.S., CCRC Study Coordinator Ms. Keller coordinates the MS clinical research trials and our multi-disciplinary MS clinic. As part of the multi-disciplinary clinic she also provides patient education relating to MS. She was a founding member of the MS clinic in 2000 and has worked in clinical research trials since 1993. |

Brenda Roberts James Q Miller MS Clinical Coordinator Mrs. Roberts has been with the University of Virginia over 27 years. She previously worked with the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology for over 15 years before coming to the Department of Neurology. She was born and raised in Nelson County and has lived locally all of her life. |

Kathleen L. Fuchs, Ph.D, ABPP. Associate Professor of Clinical Neurology Dr. Fuchs is a founding member of the James Q. Miller MS Clinic. She does cognitive assessments of individuals with MS as well as psychotherapy. Her special interests are helping people understand how MS impacts their thinking skills and partnering with them to develop strategies to address their unique challenges at home or in the workplace. She serves as the chair of the clinical advisory board for the Blue Ridge Chapter of the NMSS and has been recognized by the chapter for her community education and outreach programs. |

Mary Jo Rajek, O.T.R. Occupational Therapy Ms. Rajek is the occupational therapist at the James Q Miller MS clinic and an employee of Health South. She is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin Madison. She has served on the local MS Chapter Board of Directors and the clinical advisory committee. She has a special interest in nutrition, exercise, fatigue, sleep, cognition, and stress management. She is certified in the use of various current rehabilitation technologies and interventions for the rehab management of MS patients. |

Leigh Sato PT, DPT Physical Therapy Ms. Sato received her masters and doctorate in physical therapy from Boston University. She has specialized in neurological rehabilitation at the UVA/HealthSouth Rehabilitation Clinic since 2000 and has worked with the James Q Miller Multiple Sclerosis Clinic since 2009. Her areas of interest are neuro-recovery training, gait training, equipment evaluation to enhance mobility and adaptation of exercise programs to work for a variety of life styles. |

Ken Cady, M.S.W. Social Work Kenneth Cady, MSW, LSW, has been working with the MS Clinic since 2000 providing information and referral services, case management, and resource development. He has been at UVA since 1989, and has been a social worker for 31 years. |

Darren Ball NMSS Liaison Darren has worked for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society Blue Ridge Chapter since November 2004. He came to the chapter following completion of a Master of Education degree from the University of Virginia. Darren is the Director of Programs and Services for the Blue Ridge Chapter. His primary focus is on quality of life programming in the areas of advocacy, direct services, education, recreation, and social programs. |
