• Acute stroke intervention including interventional radiology treatments
• Formal Public Health Sciences Research training
• Extensive training including management in a diverse population of patients with cerebral vascular disease
• Neurocritical care and neurosurgical treatment options
• Access to General Clinical Research Center (GCRC) for research activity
• Stroke-related meetings lead by stroke and critical care fellows

Current therapies available for acute stroke intervention:

• 3 hour standard of care thrombolysis for ischemic stroke
• Experimental thrombolysis for ischemic stroke
• Experimental 2B3A inhibitor for ischemic stroke
• Observational studies
• Intracerebral hemorrhage studies
• Subarachnoid hemorrhage studies
• Secondary stroke prevention trials
