On weekdays at approximately 0930 hours, you will meet with your attending physician. The attending will outline the format of these meetings. In most instances, you will present cases and discuss problems of diagnosis and management. Be prepared to present a complete history and physical examination of any of your patients. You should be prepared to demonstrate any abnormalities of the physical examination. On some services, teaching rounds are combined with work rounds.
Student Morning Report will take place Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 0815-0900 on 3 Central (Dayroom 3506) in University Hospital. We will discuss 1 or 2 cases brought by you at each session. Please come prepared to present recent admissions that you consider to be of interest to your colleagues. Bring appropriate EKGs. Students are not invited to attend Intern or Resident Morning Report except when Student Morning Report is canceled.
Ethics Rounds: Period 6 schedule: Fridays January 11 and 25, February 8 and 15 at 0730 - 0830 am in front of the Health Systems Library at 0725 am, Dr. Preston Reynolds in conjunction with the Department of Biomedical Ethics will direct an ethics conference. Please come prepared to discuss a case with which you have been involved that raised your concerns about ethics or professionalism.
