Here at the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, we employ a broad multidisciplinary approach in our search for the causes of diseases of the gastrointestinal tract. With expertise at the molecular, cellular, animal model and human tissue biopsy level, we are ideally placed to address the basic science questions raised by these gastrointestinal diseases.

The excellence of our clinical section allows these findings to be carried through to the patient, helping us to develop improved therapeutics - and eventual cures - for a variety of gastrointestinal diseases.
