The mission of Cardiovascular Imaging training at UVa is to be at the leading edge of new technology with an abiding interest in using new technology to understand mechanisms of heart disease, physiology, and pathophysiology.

Specific goals are:

• to provide competence in technical aspects of imaging
• to provide competence in cardiac physiology and pathophysiology
• to develop and study innovative methods of imaging. 

We are grateful to the funding we receive in support of this program.  Our training grant is funded by the National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering (NIBIB).
