Assistant Professor of Medicine
The Department of Medicine, Division of Asthma and Allergic Diseases Center, at the University of Virginia, seeks candidates for a tenure-ineligible Assistant Professor position.
The incumbent is expected to fulfill clinical duties in the Asthma, Allergy and Clinical Immunology Division at the Northridge Clinic of the University of Virginia. The incumbent will be responsible for immunotherapy and infusion therapy as well as enrolling qualifying patients for clinical research studies.
Candidates must have a MD and be board-certified in Internal Medicine and committed to providing excellent patient care.

The Department of Medicine, Division of Allergy at the University of
Virginia invites candidates to apply for the position of Research
Associate. The incumbent will conduct scientific research on cellular
mechanisms governing the role of rhinovirus infection in asthma in
humans. The incumbent will have additional responsibilities of meeting
weekly with the Principal Investigator to discuss experimental results,
designing experiments, analyzing data, writing drafts of manuscripts,
conducting literature searches, presenting results and findings in
weekly lab meetings and at conferences. The incumbent will also assist
undergraduate and graduate students, apply for independent funding
where applicable and publish data in qualified journals. The work is
conducted independently and assigned research is accomplished on his or
her own initiative.
Candidates must have a Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree and a record of research productivity and experiments in cellular mechanisms. A minimum of 3 years post-doctoral research experience is preferred.
