The Department of Medicine recognizes that faculty and staff want to serve the greater community and have fun doing it. We have taken on a few projects to tackle together as a group and invite the participation of all.

Current Projects

Habitat for Humanity

The DOM is partnering with Habitat for Humanity to create the House that DOM Built.  This project is a sponsored build for a local family and provides the opportunity to donate time, money, or both. Habitat provides a supervised opportunity to roll up your sleeves and build a home for others.

Mud Warrior Race

Mud Warriors from the Department of MUDicine participated in this challenging fund-raising event to benefit Charlottesville’s Hope Community Center.  A lovely day was shared and money was raised for this worthy cause.
