APPLICATIONS FOR THE 2016-17 FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM SHOULD BE DONE THROUGH ERAS
The University of Virginia Sports Medicine Fellowship is an ACGME accredited program offering one fellowship position each year and is a one year program. The fellowship year is from July 1-June 30; applications will be accepted for the July 1, 2016 position. ALL APPLICATIONS SHOULD BE SUBMITTED THROUGH ERAS.
The fellowship is available to all applicants who have successfully completed an accredited US residency training program in one of the following specialties:
· Family Medicine
· Internal Medicine
· Emergency Medicine
· Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
The applicant must be board certified or board eligible in their respective field.
A complete ERAS application should include: ERAS application form, CV, personal statement, photo, MSPE report, USMLE scores and 3 letters of reference.
The fellow will be selected through a consensus among the Fellowship Director and the Associate Fellowship Directors. The fellowship uses the National Residency Match Program (NRMP); applicants must register with the match http://www.nrmp.org/
All application materials should be submitted to ERAS by October 1, 2015. Interviews will be held during September and October.
