WE ARE NO LONGER ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR THE 2013-14 FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM.
The University of Virginia Sports Medicine Fellowship is an ACGME accredited program offering one fellowship position each year and is a one year program. The fellowship year is from July 1-June 30; applications are now being accepted for the July 1, 2013 position.
The fellowship is available to all applicants who have successfully completed an accredited US residency training program in one of the following specialties:
· Family Medicine
· Internal Medicine
· Emergency Medicine
· Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
The applicant must be board certified or board eligible in their respective field.
A complete application should include: application form, CV, personal statement, photo, USMLE scores and 3 letters of reference. The letters of reference should be sent directly to the program coordinator. The fellow will be selected through a consensus among the Fellowship Director and the Associate Fellowship Directors. The fellowship uses the National Residency Match Program and applicants should register with the match http://www.nrmp.org/
All application materials should be received by November 1, 2012. The rank list closes on December 19 and match day is January 9, 2013.
