Sinthia Mannan, M.D.
Thank you for visiting the UVA Family Medicine website! I sincerely hope you will take some time to learn about this wonderful program. Having been here over a year now, I can say I totally made the right decision. The wide variety of patients we see at varying acuity levels along with the high quality teaching cannot be beat!
A little about myself: I was born in Bangladesh, moved with my family to America when I was about 2 years old and grew up in North Carolina. I attended undergrad at UNC-Chapel Hill (go heels!) and majored in Public Health which spurred my desire to further my studies in medicine--especially primary care.
I attended medical school at Wake Forest and had wonderful family medicine experiences there. Even though I love the great state of NC, I felt I was ready for a change for residency.
UVA really stood out during interviews for the quality of care and teaching, prominent reputation among other specialities, and amazing supportive environment. I can say through intern year, these qualities definitely held true.
I hope you will give UVA a try. Good luck in your search!
