Challenging Patients

Overview

Objective:

To address the special needs of elderly patients with multiple co-morbidities, refugee and immigrant patients, and chronic pain patients:

Meeting the challenge of elderly patients with multiple co-morbidities
Meeting the challenge of patients with chronic pain
Meeting the challenge of patients who are refugees or immigrants
Developing standardized patient evaluations that will provide competency-based evaluation of residents' ability to care for these challenging patients.
