Residency: University of Washington Family Medicine
I am delighted to be returning to the University of Virginia Department of Family Medicine after doing my medical school training here. I am originally from Memphis, TN, and after my medical school training went out West to the University of Washington to complete my family medicine residency. I also did an additional year of advanced obstetrics training at Swedish Medical Center while in Seattle.
I originally was attracted to family medicine because of the opportunities to care for people of all ages, and to walk alongside them and their families during the joys and sorrows that are a part of all of our lives. I consider what I do on a daily basis a true privilege. I am thrilled to be working at Stoney Creek Family Practice, one of the department’s satellite clinics in Nellysford, VA. I am also looking forward to opportunities to work with medical students and residents in clinic, on the inpatient wards, and on labor and delivery. In particular I enjoy office-based procedures, women’s health, and obstetrics. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, soaking up the outdoors, and reading.
