Patient Care

Each of our fellows sees patients for 5 half days per week at one or a combination of the following Departmental clinic centers:

• Our main clinical office, the  Primary Care Center Family Practice 
• Stoney Creek Family Practice, located in Nelson County (a federally-designated Health Professional Shortage Area)
• Crossroads Family Practice, located in North Garden, Virginia

Clinical experiences are designed to give fellows broad exposure to diverse populations and geographic areas. The Family Practice Center at UVa is located in suburban Charlottesville, while the Crossroads and Stoney Creek Family Practice satellites are based in rural communities.

Our fellows also may choose to participate in taking obstetrics call, and have the opportunity to follow and deliver their own obstetrical patients.
