The Department of Anesthesiology has two programs for undergraduate medical students, the required third-year clerkship and the fourth year elective.

The third-year rotation in peri-operative and acute care medicine is a joint initiative of the Department of Anesthesiology and the Department of Emergency Medicine. Dr. Ashley Shilling directs the Anesthesiology portion of the clerkship.

The fourth year rotation, directed by Dr. Mohamed Tiouririne, is open to all fourth year medical students and is a popular alternative for away rotations at other medical schools.
