Continuing Medical Education
The Department of Anesthesiology sponsors many opportunities for continuing medical education.
In odd-numbered years, the department hosts a continuing education seminar, bringing academic medicine to a wider audience. The 2013 Symposium will be held May 10-11.
Our weekly Anesthesiology Grand Rounds presentations have been approved for CME credit. If you live in the Charlottesville area, you are welcome to attend and register for credit. Grand Rounds occur almost every Wednesday at 7 AM in Jordan Hall Conference Center. We post the topics and speakers to the Health System calendar, and they appear on the right side of our home page. For more information, contact Patty Jenkins.
The Medical Simulation Center at the University of Virginia is an approved site for simulation training to fulfill requirements for recertification. Workshops are offered throughout the year. Visit the MOCA page on their site for course description and schedules.
