Continuing Medical Education
The Department of Anesthesiology sponsors many opportunities for continuing medical education.
After the success of the 2013 Pain Symposium, the Department of Anesthesiology is pleased to offer a second fall symposium, November 1, 2014. Plans are well underway for speakers, and online registration will be available. Stuart Lowson and Robert Thiele chair the symposium committee. This year's topic will be the protocols for enhanced recover after surgery.
Mark your calendars to reserve the day, and check back here for the details soon.
Our weekly Anesthesiology Grand Rounds presentations have been approved for CME credit. If you live in the Charlottesville area, you are welcome to attend and register for credit. Grand Rounds occur almost every Wednesday at 7 AM in Jordan Hall Conference Center. We post the topics and speakers to the Health System calendar, and they also appear on the right side of our home page. For more information, contact Patty Jenkins.
The Medical Simulation Center at the University of Virginia is an approved site for simulation training to fulfill requirements for recertification. Workshops are offered throughout the year. Visit the MOCA page on their site for course description and schedules.
