FAER grant pays dividends for Todorovic research

Todorovic emphasizes the critical role protected non-clinical time plays for researchers, especially those trying to establish an academic career.

In this month's ASA Newsletter, Slobodan Todorovic, M.D., Ph.D., Professor of Anesthesiology and Neuroscience, is interviewed about the Foundation for Anesthesia Education and Research (FAER) New Investigator Award he received at the beginning of his academic career.

Research funded by this early grant has led to Dr. Todorovic's current research, funded by the NIH and the American Diabetes Association.  He also credits it with inspiring researchers at other institutions, resulting in hundreds of research publications.

The ASA Newsletter is a publication of the American Society of Anesthesiologists.
