Dr. Durbin wears his lifetime of achievement well

Charles Durbin, Jr., M.D., Professor of Anesthesiology, was recently honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award by the Society of Critical Care Anesthesiologists in conjunction with the annual meeting of the American Society of Anesthesiologists.

The award was presented "in special recognition of a lifetime of distinguished service and outstanding contributions to critical care medicine."  It honors Dr. Durbin as one of the founding members of the Society (formerly the American Society of Critical Care Anesthesiologists) and his service as president of that organization from 2006-2007.  Dr. Durbin is the editor of the Anesthesiology Residents' Guide to Learning in the Intensive Care Unit, in use since 1995.
